Summer Safety Tips from Your Family Physician!

As summer begins, we want to help you have a fun and safe season. Drink lots of water and avoid sugary or caffeinated drinks to stay hydrated. Protect your skin with sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher), wear hats and sunglasses, and stay in the shade from 10 AM to 4 PM. Always watch children around water, make sure everyone knows how to swim, and use life jackets when needed.

To avoid heat exhaustion, take breaks and don’t do strenuous activities during the hottest part of the day. Use insect repellent to avoid bug bites, keep food cool to stay safe, and wear safety gear for activities.
